Our Story

I was born and raised in London, but my earliest memories are shaped by the kitchens of my mother and my aunt — a woman who cooked with instinct, confidence, and deep Caribbean pride. I started cooking at eight years old, learning the kind of lessons you don’t find in books: how to season properly, how to use every part of an ingredient, how to let food tell its own story.

In our home, nothing was wasted. Everything had purpose. Everything was natural. That way of cooking became the foundation of who I am — and the heart of The Rolling Coconut.

In 2019, during the pandemic, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. Out of necessity, I began making more of my own food from scratch, returning to the principles I was raised with: real ingredients, honest methods, and the belief that food should nourish, not overwhelm. What started as survival became craft. What became craft grew into a brand.

The Rolling Coconut is my way of honouring the women who taught me, the heritage that shaped me, and the flavours that feel like home.

The Rolling Coconut blends Caribbean tradition with a modern, intentional approach to food. It’s a celebration of the flavours passed down through my family from St Kitts & Nevis — reimagined through the lens of someone raised in London, shaped by two cultures, and grounded in the belief that good food begins with good ingredients.

Every sauce, bake, and preserve is made in small batches, using natural ingredients and thoughtful methods. No shortcuts. No unnecessary additives. Just honest flavour crafted with care.

This brand exists because of heritage, necessity, and love — and because food made with intention always tastes better.
